Restyled Sundays #35

Welcome Back To Restyled Sundays

Whew, it has been another crazy week in our lives. I am beginning to wonder if things will
ever go back to our normal level of chaos.  We sold our dental practice last week and started working for the new owner this Thursday. If that was not enough, my parents moved Friday to a senior living apartment complex. So the month of May is going to be busy selling all of our dental and office equipment and all of the left over furniture from my parents house.  I have decided to hold an estate sale at their old ouse. I have never done one before so it should be interesting. If anyone has advice on hosting an estate sale, I would love to hear it.  I think I am most concerned about pricing appropriately.

Last week was a really small party, so I really appreciate those of you who did join in.
Hopefully this week will get off to a better start since I am not a day late.

Now let's see my favorites from last week.

Susan from Uniquely Yours Or Mine shared this beautiful French Provencial
table and chairs in such a lovely shade of blue.

This beautiful armoire was an amazing find by Angie at
Slipcovered Grey. Can you believe she found it in this condition?

Gretchen from Vibrant Vintage created this beauty
from an old dresser. Check out the beautiful lining inside.

4 the love of WOOD showed us how to raise a table or chest
to get that height we want. I love adding the wheels.

Thanks again for sharing this week. Now lets see what else you have been up to!

Restyled Sundays #34

Welcome Back to Restyled Sundays

Well once again, this party is late getting started. We have been out of town this weekend and just got back, so I wanted to get the party started even though it is late. We went to see my father-in-law who will be celebrating his 91st birthday tomorrow. He is truly amazing, still living on his own and very active.  He plays the saxaphone in a jazz band, and he plays every single day!

Let's see what you all shared last week.
I love the restyling of this pair of end tables by
this cute garden trellis from scratch.
The Joyful Thrifter always finds the greatest stuff.
I love these 70's crewel designs.

Again, thanks for sharing. I hope to see you all again this week.

Restyled Sundays #33

Welcome Back To Restyled Sundays

It has been an absolutely crazy week, as you can see from the lack of posts here.
We have been super busy at work,we have been helping our daughter get ready to list her house and have her first open house and we had our 25th reunion from dental school to celebrate. So it is now Sunday evening and I am just getting this party going.

First of all, lets see the features from last week.

This is about the coolest dresser I have seen for a teen boys room.
Check out the makeover by Ms. Bliss at Bliss Ranch.

Barbara from 21 Rosemary Lane created a beauty out of yard sale bargain.
She model it after a famous chalk paint dresser we have all seen.
Check out her blog to see the whole story.

Chelsea of The Little Red Chair created this beauty out of an old
peeling, water damaged cabinet that she found on CL.

You really need to check out the before of this dresser
turned TV console, that Helen of Picked and Painted redid.
She really knows how to make them look good!

Great job everybody! If you were featured, be sure to add the Restyled Sundays button to your blog.

Now let's see what you've got this week.

Restyled Sundays #32

Welcome Back To Restyled Sundays

A little late, but I am finally getting this party started. It has been a busy Easter weekend.
We are so blessed to have our Risen Lord.

Last week we had some great links. Here are a few of my favorites.

Once again, Angie at Knick of Time Interiors does her magic by making
something special out of some old salvage.

JoAnn from Life at 2810 saved this table from Sharpy Heaven
with a coat of red paint, and she got paid to do it!

Cyndi at Blue Star Antiques tried her hand at transfering
and image and it turned out great.

The Joyful Thrifter found a fabulous estate sale with
some fabulous prices. I love this little milkglass bowl.

Thanks so much for sharing, now let's see what you've got this week.

Old Time Piano Stool

I found this old time piano stool in my Father-in-laws attic this winter. It must
have baked in the heat up there for over 40 years. The finish had all cracked and was
impossible to even sand off. So, I decided to just use my favorite ASCP in Old White
and give it a new life.

It's such a cute stool with the leg supports I think it looks like a little robot!

The finish was pretty textured due to the weathered surface underneath.

A little distressing on top made her look her age.
Now if I had an upright piano, I would paint it to match.

Restyled Sundays #31 and a Feed Sack Stool

Welcome Back To Restyled Sundays

I hope everyone had a great week. The weather has been beautiful in Kansas. Just enough rain to make the grass green and the flowers bloom, with lots of sunshine and warm temps. Perfect for those spray painting projects.  First of all today, I want to share a foot stool that I redid this week.
This is what I started with. A 3.99 footstool from Goodwill, with boring tapestry cover.
I unscrewed the lovely cushion, then  painted the legs Old White with ASCP.
I was planning on using some drop cloth with a transfer for the cushion, until I remembered some
old feed sacks that I had bought at a flea market. I tried one over the foam, it was perfect.

Cute? Huh? I think it is adorable. I love the old cotton feed sacks.
I would love to hear how you have used them.
Maybe we should have a party of feed sack one of these days.

Ok, let's see what you all shared last week. My favorites are...

This cute window box was transformed with chicken wire by Shabby Gals
What a perfect wall hanging to organize notes and keys!

This adorable pink vanity was originally a boys desk. Check out
the transformation at Freddy and Petunia.

I absolutely adore this pallet magazine rack from

This Vintage Easter Mantel  by Cottage and Creek is a wonderful collection of
flea market items pulled together for a holiday display.

And Sheila, from Note Songs showed us her spring wreaths for her
front doors. If you can't find flowers you love, make your own!

Thanks to everyone for joining in, now let's see what you've got this week!
