My Top 10 Favorite Projects of 2011

I have had so much fun this year blogging about my ongoing projects. Since this has been my first full year posting, I decided to join in with the crowd and share my favorites.

So, here is my top ten!

#10
I love this little stool, but it was so easy, it can't be any higher than this!

#9
I was pretty proud of my first slipcover attempt with this little chair.

#8
I love pink, so this desk makeover was super fun.
Check out those cute HL knobs.

#7
I was really pleased with this desk makeover! It
had a formica top and I got it for $17, yay!

#6
Drawers of Knowledge ( or I went crazy for Mod Podge)

#5
My first ASCP makeover.
A beautiful bow front desk in Paris Grey.

#4
I loved how well the damask designs fit around the pulls.

#3
A beautiful waterfall buffet with ORB pulls

#2
My biggest project yet, a Duncan Phyfe table and chairs.

And #1
My Favorite Makeover Ever!
I still can't believe how beautiful this buffet turned out.
I hope to someday come across something similar.

Restyled Sundays #4

Well, once again, I am a little late starting the party. I need to start doing this on Saturday night, since I get so far behind on Sunday's. It's been rainy and dreary here all day, so I have been in the basement paint and sewing all day and just realized I forget to get this going. So let's do it!

Last week I was so impressed with this Lamp Shade Makeover from Jen at Nest, Sing, Fly.
It looks so sweet and works well with the glass lamp it is on.

Check out these Gilded Pumpkins from Redoux

You can always count on 'Good Time Charlie' for something classy!

And I know how much time this sofa slipcover must have taken

Jenni from Who Makes Up This Craft has really been busy!

I love seeing what you've been up to, now show me your stuff

A Blue Denim Slip

This poor outdated chair was a hand me down from my mother's house. I had it for sale at Sentimental Journey for a while, really cheap, but nobody wanted it.  It's a really good chair, just not as pretty as she used to be.  It is so comfy I just couldn't bring myself to give it away.  So, I brought it home.  Some people bring home stray dogs or cats, I bring home stray furniture.
She was missing her cushion in this picture. It was already in the slipcover and I didn't want to struggle getting it out again.
Her she is in her new blue jeans. Not too bad, huh? I am in love with this chair again! And my Home is Where The Dog Is pillow works perfectly here. I added a gold throw blanket for a little contrast.

Here she is without her accessories. This is the first slipcover I have done that was this complicated.  Ok, this is only my second slipcover.  It was really a lot of fun figuring out all of the different cuts and seams. I actually put the corners of the skirt on the outside first. Oh well, my seam ripper and I are quite familiar with each other.

I think she looks pretty special and I am showing her off at the following parties.

Slip On A Flirty Little Skirt

This is my first slipcover ever!
I am so glad it is finished and I am really happy with it.
I found this cute chair at an estate sale.
I thought she had such pretty legs and arms,
but her dress was getting a little worn out.

There were a few challenges to work out, like trying to wrap around her arms!

Some little ties hold her together.

And a flirty little pleated skirt shows off her legs.

Now she is all dressed up and ready to go to a new home!

Now for an update: I have been featured at Pink and Polka Dot, yeah! I am so excited! Linking to these parties:
