Restyled Sundays #42

Welcome Back To Restyled Sundays

Another week, another move in motion. I am pretty sure that I mentioned a few months ago
that my daughters house was on the market. She was living about 25 minutes south
of us and even farther from her brothers. She has a really nice house, but was ready to move on.
This week her house sold and she has to be out by July 25! She had sort of been looking at
houses, but did not want to buy with a contingency that hers sold. So, yesterday we went looking
and we actually viewed about  20 houses. We had a few drive buys that we decided not to
even go through once we saw them. There were a couple of  good contenders, and my favorites
were closest to my house. :) A mom can always hope to have her children close by.:) We will be back out looking on Monday.  I really hope she can find a great one soon or she will be back home until she can.
That's ok too, but I hate to see her have to put her furniture in storage.

You all had some awesome posts this week!
Here are some of my favorites, thanks for sharing.

This awesome cabinet was painted by Miranda
of Pressing On.  Love It!!!

And, in keeping with the theme here, Barbara at 21 Rosemary Lane
turned some plain old end tables into something special for her sons room.

Amazing Karen from Redoux took an old castoff country
dresser and transformed it into this industrial chic piece for her
master bedroom. Check out the before!

Brenda from Cottage 4C turned a very basic armoire
into a really cool vintage looking piece .

Thanks to all of you who shared this week. Now lets see what you've got this week!

Restyled Sundays #41

Welcome Back to Restyled Sundays!

It has been another busy week, but I think we are beginning to feel human again.
We haven't even begun to dig our way out of the storerooms yet, but a little rest has done us
all alot of good. My brother headed back to California and I really miss him. I cannot imagine
getting through these multiple moves without his help! Tomorrow is Father's Day
and I am so blessed to still have my father here to share it with. He will be 90 in September,
so I will cherish each holiday with him.

I want to share the things I picked up at the only antique mall I made it to on our vacation.
We were in Harrisonburg, VA and I found an antique mall to wander through. They had so many
great things in there, but this is all I came out with.
I love this little poodle salt and pepper shaker set!

I already had a set like this, and did not realize they didn't match
until I took this picture.  I think they are so cute someone else might enjoy them.

My grandfather always had one of these folding rulers in his pocket.
There are so many cute things you can do with these.

I know you can't see the embossing on this bottle, but it
says Stars and Stripes forever.

And, you know how much I love blue and white. this little
cup was only 3.00 and I could not resist.

Now, let's see what you all shared this week. My favorites are...

Miranda at Pressing On took a little bit of ASCP and created
a beautiful side table.
handiest husband who made this cabinet to replace their kitchen desk.

You have to see how this garden shed used to look!
Kathe with and e and her husband moved and updated it.

This little cabinet is now a fireside beauty thanks to
Suttons Daze. Be sure to check out the before.

Now let's see what you have been up to this week.
Thanks in advance for linking up!

Restyled Sundays #40

Welcome Back to Restyled Sundays!

Whew, we are almost done with my mom's house. A few hours today and we will
officially be out. Two storage units later, and after a few days rest, we will begin sorting.
I can't wait to share some of the treasures and furniture makeovers to come. I feel
like it has been months since I have had a paintbrush in my hands.

For now, I want to thank everyone for sharing at this weeks Restyled Sundays.
There a some great projects and finds this week, be sure to check them all out.
My personal favorites are:

I love anything that shares our countries flag, and Noreen posted this
magnet idea on Crafty Journal. What a fun project for kids to make this summer.

Alicia from Exquiste Delight took an outdated china cabinet
and turned it into her entertainment center. Nice job, Alicia!

Cyndi at Blue Star Antiques worked her magic again with a
combination of paints. What a beautiful piece.

I am such a sucker for anything blue and white, This is such
a beautiful stool from Monica Livas and the cat is so adorable in its place.

Hope to see you all again this week.

Were Out!

I am so sorry there was no Restyled Sunday last week, but I was buried deep in packing and moving. But, the good news is...

We are out of our office!!! After working tirelessly for the long weekend, we ended up til 9:00 Wednesday night getting everything out of our dental office. A week ago, we still didn't know what all we were going to do with all of our larger dental equipment. Fotunately, we were able to donate most of it . We had 8 dental chairs and 5 x-rays that were still in good shape and working well. I had found one low income clinic in Topeka, Ks that wanted three of the chairs and all of the waiting room furniture. We still had 5 to go. In the next 4 days, we found another free dental clinic in Kansas City that wanted 3 more chairs and all but one of the x-rays. The big pano x-ray went to a doctor who was a class mate of ours, and the last two dental chairs went to a tatoo shop. Yeah, we didn't have to take any of the big stuff to storage, but our living room is stacked floor to ceiling with boxes of small stuff.
I was able to sell a bunch of stuff on Craigslist! Refrigerator, washer, dryer, desk chairs, etc.

This is where we had worked for the last 21 years.

We had planned a trip to North Carolina a year ago for this weekend, so after we got home Wednesday night, we did a few quick loads of laundry and headed out for Banner Elk, NC.
So here is where we are for the next few days. It is actually cold and rainy today, but should be nicer tomorrow. My husband is having a great time at a car show here. I have spent most of the day trying to
get online, but now that I am on I can hardly stay awake.

Tomorrow, I will try to take some real pics of the area and share the beautiful mountain views with you.
I also hope to go to an antique store down the road.

Have a great night and I'll see you alot more shortly.
