Restyled Sundays #68

I hope everyone had a great Fourth of July. We watched fireworks after dark, but spent most of the day working on projects around the house. I seem to always have multiple projects that are half finished, and I am committing to finishing those before I start anything new. Hopefully as I get them finished, I have something to share with you.
I love all of the great finds from The Vintage Green but this fabulous Flow Blue bowl was to die for!

This green beauty with its sweet little birds was refreshed by Cyndi at ::Cottage Instincts::

This beautiful desk was created by Cyndi at Blue Star Antiques, be sure to read about her waxing mistake.
I love seeing all of your posts! And I love your comments. Thanks for dropping by!
Now lets see what you've been up to this week.

Restyled Sundays #61

Welcome Back to Restyled Sundays!

I don't know if anyone else noticed, because I didn't until just now, but last week was
really week #60 and I labeled it #50. So now we are on the right track, and I am
officially a dummy! Probably more like ADD and I have to many things
running around in my head at once. Oh well, we are all good now.

We did not get to keep our warm weather long, but surely spring is a coming
since my flowers are all starting to shoot up little sprouts.
I really want to rework my garden this year. It would really help to have shade
loving plants in the shade and sun in the sun. My knock out roses only
bloom a little under the big birch trees. I'll try to get some pics soon.

Anyway, lets get on with the party. Thanks so much for all who joined
in last week. I love seeing what you have done.

I am in love with the beautiful finish on this
black armoire that Lisa from {createinspire} transformed..
It's truly a wow!

Talk about amazing! This girl transforms pianos into works
of art. From the junk in our trunks!

I love paper wreaths and Ashley from Ashley's Dandelion Wishes
added some color with different papers. Very springy!

amazing husband who made this cute bird house for her
from and old ice cream churn! What a guy!

Thanks to everyone again for joining in. I hope you have had a great week
and have lots to share this week.

Welcome Back to Restyled Sundays #50

Welcome Back to Restyled Sundays!

Another busy week, and I finally had a little time to work at the antique
store. It felt so good to be in their rearranging, but I have a lot of work
to do to make it as pretty as I would like.  The best part of the week
is the weather. It was actually 77 degrees yesterday and even though it
was a little windy, I could not wait to get out a shake my can of Krylon.
No, I am not leaving this red. But it will probably take a couple
of cans of spray paint to cover this.

Well now let's talk about what you all shared last week.

Denise on a whim created this adorable mail station
from an old shutter and a little help from her hubby.

Lisa from Create Inspire Me turned an ugly dresser into
this sweet vintage find. Be sure to check out the before.

Cyndi from Blue Star Antiques gutted an old salvaged
radio and created this beautiful little display piece.

I seemed to be on a blue theme this week :)
It is my favorite color!

Now let's see what you have been up to this week.

Restyled Sundays #59

Welcome Back to Restyled Sundays!

I decided to wait today until everyone had time to spend with their families on Easter.
We are so blessed to have family to be with on this Holy Day.

Yesterday our family had a huge gathering at our house. We did the Easter Egg
hunt in the rain, then had brunch a lot's of fun and conversation followed.
Everyone was able to come, so it was great.
Today, we went to lunch at my parents senior living facility.
They had prime rib for all, but being a vegetarian, I chowed down on the
veggies and had a wonderful baked sweet potatoe. Yum, nothing better.

We had a great party last week, and I want to tell you the weatherman was
right on with the forecast. We got 9" of snow on Sunday morning, but it was
all gone by Friday. Yeah! I really hope that was the end of it.

Now I want to share my favorites from last week.

Lynda from Something Created Everyday went shopping and here is
one of my favorite thrifting finds in a long time. Can't you just picture
those jars with fresh flowers as a centerpiece?
Joy at A Vintage Green found this chair a a sale and it sure
didn't look like this. Check out her handy hubby's amazing makeover.

This little cabinet is such a unique shape and now it is
simply beautiful thanks to Creat Inspire
.And check out this amazing gun cabinet makeover
by once again, CreateInspire. Some serious talent here!
And, she has been very busy.

Now let's see what you've been up to this week.

Restyled Sundays #57

Welcome Back to Restyled Sundays

Sorry I missed the party last week and have been out of touch. We have been dealing
with the Blizzard of OZ times Two. I did get some beautiful pictures, but we had 12" of snow
a week ago Thursday, and then another 12" this last Tuesday. For someone who thought
that Spring was almost here, I was not prepared. So I made soup and pie and lots of goodies
and did nothing but paperwork for two weeks .I was suffering from gray skies and a
lack of inspiration.

The trees were completely bent over by the weight of the snow.

Such a beautiful winter wonderland.

These yews normally completely hide the utility box.
At least it was interesting to look at. But I am so happy that
we are going to hit 40 degrees today and see some melting.

Anyway, back to the party!
Two weeks ago, the party had a couple of great projects I want to feature!

I love this corner cabinet makeover by Shabby Gals
be sure to check out the cute seat cushion on the chair next to it.

Next, this basket makeover is really nice. Kathy at Life on Lakeshore Dr
performed a quick and easy update. Great styling.

I'll try to stay more motivated this week, and maybe I will even finish a project!

Now let's see what you have been up to lately!

Restyled Sundays #55

Welcome Back To Restyled Sundays!

Wow, another week slipped by and I did not post once.
I had such great intentions, but I have to realize that I can only do
what I can do. We have some great finds that I can't wait to share from
our daughters house makeover. But, this week ever spare minute went
to painting, painting, and more painting. Add working four days this week
and you can see why there were no extra posts :(.

I really was excited to see the great projects and finds that you all shared
this week at Restyled Sundays. I wish I could feature you all, but I will
just do a few of my favorites.
This amazing, incredible and totally cool staircase
was hand painted by This Green House.
Be sure to check out the hidden surprise that they built in.
What a beautiful furniture makeover!
This kidney bean desk is from CreateInspire and it
completely modernized this old piece.
I am a sucker for mannequins, so this one from
The Refeathered Roost  really caught my eye.
And finally, Something Created Everyday shared her
Perfect Thrifting Day. She really hit the jackpot with
these blocks and lots of other goodies.

I am so excited to see so many new faces here. You all have
some fabulous blogs and I love getting to see them.
Now let's see what you have to share this week.

Helen from Picked and Painted created a real beauty
with two Hepplewhite dresses.

I love how Dianne from Shabby Gals madeover
an old broken down chest. What a great color combo
and cute organization. I need this in my sewing room!

And, finally I am totally crushing on this Princess phone
that Lynda from Something Created Everyday found at a rummage sale.
I had one similar to this in high school, sure wish I had kept it!

Thanks again for sharing. I hope you all come back and join this party
and be sure to tell your friends. The more the merrier!

Restyled Sundays #52

Welcome Back to Restyled Sundays

Well it's been a week since I have done anything. I have had the flu, yuk! I am actually feeling somewaht better, but really have no energy. I am forcing myself to get up and get something done. If I am gonna feel lousy, I might as well feel lousy while I am doing something.

I had some great projects I finished before I got sick, but I just haven't had the drive to write anything up.
I promise I will share them in the next few days, but for now I want to thank those of you
who shared last week.

Check out this amazing red buffet makeover by
If the outside wasn't cool enough,
she added some really cool stencils to the inside to
make it a truly wow piece!

shared some great thrifting finds. You can never go wrong
with Pyrex bowls!

Paul from One Creative Couple put two old
doors together and turned them into a corner
art gallery. Brilliant!
And Cathy, his wife, created this cool idea board
for her daughters new bedroom redo.
They truly are One Creative Couple

Thanks guys for sharing again. Now let's see if your week
has been more productive than mine!

The Painted Hutch

It's a miracle, I finally finished a project! The china cabinet/ hutch that was sitting in my antique booth for over a year decided to come home for a makeover. Sorry, this is the best picture I could find. At least you can see how dark it was there in the background. Actually, my son painted the cabinet a while back. We had so much furniture in the antique store, I had just never gotten around to distressing and waxing it. And, of course, life gets in the way and things just sit 90% done.

We used homemade chalk paint with the unsanded grout recipe. The paint was bright white.

This cabinet had lots of details to distress. I love the way it came out.
I changed the wood knobs that were on it to some ORB knobs that I had found
on clearance at Target over a year ago.
These photos are at my booth at Lone Elm antique mall.
I thought I would get in the Valentines spirit  with the red and white.
More of the same detail at the top!

Turns out, somebody else liked it as much as I did. It
sold the third day it was there!

Thanks for visiting, be sure to come back tomorrow for Restyled Sunday's!

I am showing my hutch off at these parties, check them out!
