Restyled Sundays #68

I hope everyone had a great Fourth of July. We watched fireworks after dark, but spent most of the day working on projects around the house. I seem to always have multiple projects that are half finished, and I am committing to finishing those before I start anything new. Hopefully as I get them finished, I have something to share with you.
I love all of the great finds from The Vintage Green but this fabulous Flow Blue bowl was to die for!

This green beauty with its sweet little birds was refreshed by Cyndi at ::Cottage Instincts::

This beautiful desk was created by Cyndi at Blue Star Antiques, be sure to read about her waxing mistake.
I love seeing all of your posts! And I love your comments. Thanks for dropping by!
Now lets see what you've been up to this week.

Restyled Sundays #63

Welcome Back to Restyled Sundays!

Once again, I've been off track here and so consumed with life that I can't seem
to keep up with posting.  Sorry that I missed hosting the party last week, I am
trying to get my mom's storage unit empty and life has once again been
a little overwhelming.  We picked up our new dog and immediately fell in
love with her, but one of our other dogs is not so thrilled. We are going to
have to work on some group training to make this work. I'll share
more about the girls later.

Now let's visit with my favorites from two weeks ago.

Christine from Rustic and Refined took a very boring dresser
and turned it into this beautiful console table.

Lynda at Something Created Everyday picked up this
adorable nut chopper at an estate sale. It is just like the one
my grandmother had when I was growing up!

Lisa at {createinspire} turned a boring buffet into
this beauty with some teal paint and pretty knobs. Love it!

And finally, Jane at Minnesota Junker found a simple wooden
key and created this cool wall hanging.

I always love what you all have to share. Thanks for coming back and back!
Now let's see what you been up to the last 2 weeks.

Restyled Sundays #62

Welcome Back to Restyled Sundays

I am actually writing this early, which is really odd since I never do anything
early. But, sweet hubby and I are driving today from Olathe, Kansas to
Chattanooga, Tennesee to pick up another dog. My niece was looking
for a new home for this sweet girl.
She will be one year old next Thursday and they can no longer
keep her, so we can't say no to such a sweet face.
Sophie will be our third dog, maybe we are crazy, but we love them all.
I am just praying now that Lady and Ellie like her.
I'll share more pics when I get her home!

Now I want to thank each of you that joined in to the party last week.
And thanks to all of you who just come to read. I really love to read
your comments, so be sure to let me know what your up to.

Kathryn from The Junk In Our Trunks found this gorgeous buffet
at a garage sale for $25. I need to go junking with her!

Cyndi from Blue Star Antiques created this amazing
table with a houndstooth pattern.

Susan from Simply Stone Creek turned an
old worn out dresser into this beauty!
I really love how Denise...on a whim redid a pair of plain
old stools with a few colors of chalk paint

Thanks again for sharing your projects. Tell your friends where you party!
Now let's see what you've been up to this week.

Restyled Sundays #59

Welcome Back to Restyled Sundays!

I decided to wait today until everyone had time to spend with their families on Easter.
We are so blessed to have family to be with on this Holy Day.

Yesterday our family had a huge gathering at our house. We did the Easter Egg
hunt in the rain, then had brunch a lot's of fun and conversation followed.
Everyone was able to come, so it was great.
Today, we went to lunch at my parents senior living facility.
They had prime rib for all, but being a vegetarian, I chowed down on the
veggies and had a wonderful baked sweet potatoe. Yum, nothing better.

We had a great party last week, and I want to tell you the weatherman was
right on with the forecast. We got 9" of snow on Sunday morning, but it was
all gone by Friday. Yeah! I really hope that was the end of it.

Now I want to share my favorites from last week.

Lynda from Something Created Everyday went shopping and here is
one of my favorite thrifting finds in a long time. Can't you just picture
those jars with fresh flowers as a centerpiece?
Joy at A Vintage Green found this chair a a sale and it sure
didn't look like this. Check out her handy hubby's amazing makeover.

This little cabinet is such a unique shape and now it is
simply beautiful thanks to Creat Inspire
.And check out this amazing gun cabinet makeover
by once again, CreateInspire. Some serious talent here!
And, she has been very busy.

Now let's see what you've been up to this week.

Restyled Sundays #56

Welcome Back to Restyled Sundays

It is really true that you never know what tomorrow will bring, but when my
daughter in law called me on Tuesday in tears, I was really shocked.
There house had caught on fire. It was nearly a total loss, and worst
of all, they lost their dear sweet dog Buddy. It was Gods blessing that
they were not home and everyone is safe. They apparently had a faulty
switch on the stove and it turned itself on. It was a glass top range, and they
frequently set things on top of it since they did not have alot of counter space.
Now, they begin the overwhelming task of rebuilding. They are doing well,
and have some great support systems, but it will take time. Please, keep
Mike, Laura, Connor and Alaina in your prayers. And if you would, please
say a word for Buddy as well.

Now, on to this weeks party. You all shared some great posts last week.
My favorites are:
I am a sucker for all things British, so I love this
Union Jack cabinet by Cyndi of Blue Star Antiques
How about this beautiful Robin Egg Blue
dresser transformation from CreateInspire
The Joyful Thrifter was busy this week and found
this adorable toy sewing machine to help
decorate her craft room.
Lynda from Something Created Everyday, also had some great
thrifting finds. I have a new passion for vintage tea towels,
so this one made me happy this week.
Makes me want to get out to some sales.
NO, I must get back to painting at my daughters house!

I am so excited to see what you all have been up to this week.

Restyled Sundays #55

Welcome Back To Restyled Sundays!

Wow, another week slipped by and I did not post once.
I had such great intentions, but I have to realize that I can only do
what I can do. We have some great finds that I can't wait to share from
our daughters house makeover. But, this week ever spare minute went
to painting, painting, and more painting. Add working four days this week
and you can see why there were no extra posts :(.

I really was excited to see the great projects and finds that you all shared
this week at Restyled Sundays. I wish I could feature you all, but I will
just do a few of my favorites.
This amazing, incredible and totally cool staircase
was hand painted by This Green House.
Be sure to check out the hidden surprise that they built in.
What a beautiful furniture makeover!
This kidney bean desk is from CreateInspire and it
completely modernized this old piece.
I am a sucker for mannequins, so this one from
The Refeathered Roost  really caught my eye.
And finally, Something Created Everyday shared her
Perfect Thrifting Day. She really hit the jackpot with
these blocks and lots of other goodies.

I am so excited to see so many new faces here. You all have
some fabulous blogs and I love getting to see them.
Now let's see what you have to share this week.

Restyled Sundays #53

Welcome Back to Restyled Sundays!

It's been an exciting week around here. Jenni (our daughter)
closed on her house on Thursday and yesterday we finally got
to start working on it. It's really in pretty good shape, but some issues
will keep her from moving in yet. All of the sinks and toilets are leaking :(
Fortunately,  her dad is very handy and can fix a lot of things around the house,
but the kitchen faucet proved to be a bit of a doosy.  He could not get it loose,
so he had to take the whole sink out. It's funny how things start to spiral out of
control once one thing needs to be replaced. Now we need to replace the sink
and the faucet, so is this the time to replace the counter tops as well?
Oh, My how quickly things get complicated. So does she choose granite,
butcher block, concrete??? So many decisions it gets overwhelming.
While she and her dad fus over the details, I am starting to paint ceilings today.
I fill you in on more of those details in the next few days.

Back to the party, let's see what you all shared last week!
Dianne from Shabby Gals made new cushions for her
kitchen chairs out of old burlap sacks.
I love the before and after of this kitchen makeover
by Terry at Forever Decorating. It seems so calm
and has a clean updated look.
Check out this amazing French Wire Salad Spinner that
California flea market. I want to go thrifting with her!

And finally, Jo from Minnesota Junker found this vintage receipt holder
on Etsy and turned it into a photo display, really cute idea!

Thanks for sharing these great posts! Be sure to show us what you've been up to this week!

Restyled Sundays #37

Welcome Back to Restyled Sundays

Once again we have had a busy week. My mom and dad got a contract on their
house yesterday so now we only have one month to get everything out. I doubt if we will have
time to have an estate sale since we have to hae all of our dental eqiupment out of our old space by May 31st. We ave been trying to find a place to donate our equipment to, with no luck yet. I f you know of a charity that would like dental equipment, please let me know.

Now let's see what you have been sharing this weeek.

Kathe from Kath with an e found this adourable mexican couple
and used them to adorn her Cinco De Mayo tablesccape.

Angie with Knick of Time Interiors add a chalkboard element
to this old tool box and framed it in vintage tape measures.
I would sure love to have this one.

Miranda from Pressing On shared how to creaate some
homemade chalk paint and make the table legs appear dipped.
her ladder bookshelf. I love the bird shelf!

Finally, Chelsea from Kiss My Brass found Pyrex Madness
while thrifting recently. She sells her goods on ebay, so check her  out if
you are look for some good pieces.

Now lets see what you've been up to this week. If you have been featured, be sure to grab the
Restyled Sundays button from the sidebar.

Estate Sale Treasures

Saturday, my Mom and I happened across a
fabulous Estate Sale about a block from her house.
I found these amazing ship pictures and I had just recently started
scouring the antique stores for some for my family room.
There were 7 of them, so I bought them all,
and decided to keep these four for myself.

I really love the colors in the ones I have chosen for myself.
I am going to paint the frames off white. They really don't look as
good up close as in the picture. Plus, my walls are kind of dark.

This is an 1893 edition of Gray's Anatomy. I have a much newer one that
I studied from while in school, so this one was just too cool to pass up!

My mom found this amazing Duncan Phyfe buffet that she is going
to use for her big screen tv in their new place.
(I can't wait to show you how we decorate her new smaller home.)
I guess you can see where I get my traditional style.

We also got lot's of pictures and lamps and stuff at the sale, but I
want to show you my favorite buy of the week.
I found this beautiful mirror at Lone Elm Antiques where we have one of our booths.
It was their 1st anniversary and everything in the store was 15% off, so I had been
keeping my eye on this mirror for a week or so. It was still there when I got to the sale,
so now it is mine.  Just look at that sweet bird on top.

I don't even think I will paint it. It is just to perfect.
I will be sure to show you where it ends up when I find the right spot for it.
I hope I am not the only one who buys things without knowing
where I am going to put them. :)

Don't forget, Restyled Sundays is still going on through Friday.
I would love to see what you have found or restyled lately!

Restyled Sundays #28 And A Happy Day

Restyled Sundays #28

Welcome to Restyled Sundays # 28. First of all I want to thank everyone for keeping my father in your thoughts and prayers. After 4 weeks in the hospital he is finally home. At 89, he is still going to need some time to regain his strength, but were are so happy to have him on the mend.

Now let's get started.

Martina from Northern Nesting restyled this cute little table for her entry.
I love this two tone look

Kathe from Kathe With An E hit an amazing estate sale with over
800 pieces of candlewick. Wow, what a find!
Adriene from Pages From Home created this memo board for her
home office from an old frame and chicken wire. Be sure to check out her blog.

Peggy from The Painted Pear found this great little crock worth
a whole lot more than she paid while browsing some thrift shops.
Check out her other finds on her blog.
things. I really love this old door topper she has painted white.

Thanks so much to everyone for sharing. Lot's of inspiring posts.
Now let's see what you have this week.
