I am so excited to show you the collection of aprons that came from my in-laws attic. I know aprons have become very popular again, but these are the real deal from the 50's and 60's.
Of course, my favorite first. This turquoise and purple half apron with flowers in the checks is so cute. I love the rick rack trim along the edge.
This lovely pink half apron with deep floral pockets is the most feminine one in the bunch. I can truly see my mother-in-law wearing this.
This cute yellow apron has a matching bib and pocket. It is very faded so it must have been a daily favorite.
This cute apron his and hers set is decorated with a kitschy 50's print of food and kitchen sayings.
A close-up of the cute print.
( Yes his is on my girly maniquin:)
Here is a fancier hostess apron. It is made of black tulle with pink satin ribbon and rick rack trim.
A little hard to see, but there is a cute black poodle on the side. I never realized how hard it is to photograph tulle. And last but not least it a very special Christmas apron. It is a sheer red with flocked wreaths and candles.
I hope you enjoyed seeing this fun collection. I love them all. I will be sharing at the following parties:

Treasure Island? No Treasure ATTIC! What fun aprons and the family connection makes them all the more special. Thanks for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I love your collection of vintage aprons! I think my favorite has to be the faded yellow bib one, followed very closely by the yellow one following it. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI'm hosting my monthly Before Blogging Throwback Thursdays party and would love it if you linked up something you made/did/bought before blogging. The link will be open til next week. Can't wait to see what you bring to the party.
