Welcome Back to Restyled Sundays
It is really true that you never know what tomorrow will bring, but when my
daughter in law called me on Tuesday in tears, I was really shocked.
There house had caught on fire. It was nearly a total loss, and worst
of all, they lost their dear sweet dog Buddy. It was Gods blessing that
they were not home and everyone is safe. They apparently had a faulty
switch on the stove and it turned itself on. It was a glass top range, and they
frequently set things on top of it since they did not have alot of counter space.
Now, they begin the overwhelming task of rebuilding. They are doing well,
and have some great support systems, but it will take time. Please, keep
Mike, Laura, Connor and Alaina in your prayers. And if you would, please
say a word for Buddy as well.
Now, on to this weeks party. You all shared some great posts last week.
My favorites are:
I am a sucker for all things British, so I love this
Union Jack cabinet by Cyndi of Blue Star Antiques
How about this beautiful Robin Egg Blue
dresser transformation from CreateInspire.
The Joyful Thrifter was busy this week and found
this adorable toy sewing machine to help
decorate her craft room.
Lynda from Something Created Everyday, also had some great
thrifting finds. I have a new passion for vintage tea towels,
so this one made me happy this week.
Makes me want to get out to some sales.
NO, I must get back to painting at my daughters house!
I am so excited to see what you all have been up to this week.
Ann. My thoughts are with your daughter and family and sweet buddy in doggie heaven.
ReplyDeleteAwww, yea! Thanks for featuring my cabinet! What an honor!
ReplyDeleteMost importantly I am sorry to hear of your family's loss. I am glad they are ok and am sorry they lost their beloved pet (we recently lost ours, too). Many heartfelt prayers for them. I also wanted to say thank you for the feature. I am so grateful for the opportunity to share here and for the time you put into hosting. Many blessings to you.

I am so sorry to hear of your family's loss. I am glad that they weren't home and am so sorry to hear about Buddy.
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Pam
This breaks my heart. We always knew how lucky we were to get the entire family and our two dogs out of our house fire. I love my two dogs so much and it is so so sad about Buddy. I will definitely say prayers for him and your son and daughter in law. They have some difficult days in front of them but I know with your love and the rest of the family they will push through. I am beyond sorry.

O my goodness, what a tragedy to have lost nearly everything in a fire. That is so sad. So sorry. :(
