Red's Not Just For Valentines
I am truly chair crazy! I have so many chairs waiting for some tender loving care. This one is ready for Valentines Day! or any other day if you love red as much as I do. Here she is before... A little sad looking, but she has great bones. After some glue to sturdy her up, I sanded her down a little and sprayed a coat of primer followed by two coats of Rustoleum Red Laquer paint.
Here she is after...
And for a little close up to see her fine details. Isn't she pretty. She is now at my booth at the antique mall, waiting for someone to take her home.I am linking to the following parties:

Isn't red the very best color during these dark, grey months? I love your choice. It really highlights the pretty lines and carving. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the red! Thanks for stopping by my blog, I love guests..I shop at Goodwill all the time (that is my job if you can believe it..) that is the FIRST time I have come across an apron too! Crazy!!
ReplyDeleteVisiting via Under the Table, beautiful transformation. I am kicking myself now I have often passed up similar chairs. They look wonderful with a slick coat of paint - and red is perfect.
